TWO EVILS COMMITTED

Under the direct inspiration of YHWH (God) the prophet Isaiah is given a vision of the end times; of the time in which we are living. Surveying the scene the prophet writes:

"For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people...." (Isa. 60:2) And why the darkness? What is the cause of it? "We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if [we had] no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; [we are] in desolate places as dead [men]" (Isa.59:10) And what has caused the blindness? "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:"(Rev.3:16) "For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, [and] hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water." (Jer.2:13)

Set before us in very plain language is the condition of apostate Christendom. With all the advantages of the Scriptures set before us; we are in a grave situation. We grope in darkness while it is noonday (Isa.59:10) and most will not agree with the inspired statement. Hence, we are willingly ignorant of our true condition shown in (Rev.3:16) We are in a self imposed deception! while  in such a condition YHWH can do nothing for us. For, we think ourselves to be rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing. And the Faithful and True Witness says that we are poor blind and naked. Having committed two evils: 1. Forsaking YHWH 2. Build cisterns that can hold no water; we become blind and dehydrated.  For we have departed from the Source of all Light and from the Fountain of Living Waters.

Many will say, this condition does not represent me. This message is for someone else. After all I'm blessed. I have many friends, wealth, influence, a good name, and honor among man. I have a good wife/husband and a well ordered Messiah like family and we are in good standing in our community. And all these blessings are from YHWH (God) aren't they? Here is a question; are you better than Nehemiah or the prophet Daniel? Do you have a greater spiritual connection with YHWH than this two exemplary characters? Here is what Nehemiah says: "... we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned." (Neh.1:6) and Daniel says: "We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:(Dan.9:5)

We find on the Sacred record no mention of the sin of Daniel or Nehemiah. And the weeping prophet adds: "We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God."(Jer.3:25)

The Reformation that was started by YHWH (1517AD) was to continue until we walk in the light of the noonday sun. However, we have become complacent with their labors and accomplishments and say in our hearts....The fathers did not believe this, so why should I? Not realizing that the Truth of YHWH is progressive; like the sun that dawns on the morning, not with the full rays of brightness; but gently arising until it reaches it's zenith of it's strength at noontide. Daniel says we have departed from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

The majority of the end time people of YHWH are declared by Him to be in Babylon (Rev.18:4) and what is the message to us? " Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."

How do we return to YHWH'S precepts and judgments? "Return, ye backsliding children, [and] I will heal your backslidings." (Jer.3:22) We need to study more closely the Torah and Prophets with much prayer and even fasting to understand that YHWH is the same yesterday today and forever.(Heb.13:8)

Then, and only then, shall we hear the words "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.(Isa.60:1)
